Despite the economic hardships and domestic troubles, the end of 2010 and early 2011 were marked by the discovery of interesting and notable restaurants. Apparently tired of the two-year slumber, the people involved in restaurants took themeselves in their hands and gave the fruits of their hard work, the quality of which we will have to judge. So today, our review is devoted to the so-called newcommers.

Restaurant «BEEF meat&wine» (11 Shota Rustaveli Str.)
After reading the name of the establishment, it is easy to guess in which direction the conceptual work «BEEF meat & wine» - of course this meat restaurant, which with the help of wine reveals all the charm of a favorite product. Of course, the title of the meat can be assigned to a restaurant and favorite barbecue, but here's another story. The location, a self-contained interior, the menu prices and decent food make us aware that we are in the establishment of premium class. This is confirmed by the majority of positions of the menu:"Caesar salad with prawns" (135 hrn), "Tartar of veal" (78 hrn), "Chicken liver pate with toast" (55 hrn), "Veal tenderloin with sauce" Sherry "," (158 hrn), "Rack of lamb on the edges "(77hrn/100g.) and, of course, tasty steaks from mature classic meat (price per weight in the raw form):" Chateaubriand steak Grand-BEEF »(460 hrn/400g.)" It's not so difficult today aesthetically well-arrange the furniture and create a good (and it is really above all praise) menu. With this in «BEEF meat & wine», unfortunately (hopefully because of the "young" institution), not good. «Cult Ra» (4 Vladimirskaya Str.)
In the category "Places to surprise," "The Cult of Ra" clearly could take a prize. This restaurant is interesting to all: an extraordinary interior architecture in the Old Slavonic traditions with pictures, paintings, decorative details and a la Gapchinskaya, soundly wooden furniture, rituals, traditions and the specific aesthetic, friendly and affordable menu with the national colors of the unique and unlike anyone else another culture, light atmosphere. Rather, "The Cult of Ra" - the club with poetry readings, acoustic concerts, private parties and themed folkloric performances, where the narrow group of people united by love for their country meet, share information and feel comfortable.

In addition to the foregoing, in the establishment is also fed, in fact - quite well. The menu offers dishes very accurately reflecting the content and the concept of institution. «Jean-Claude Brasserie» (Bessarabskaya squere 2)
Another establishment, where the emphasis is on the name. Jean Claude Tissot, an experienced man in the restaurant business, opened a brasserie - a place for devotees of the simple and delicious food. In the classic definition of brasserie less formal than a restaurant, but not so ordinary, like a bistro or cafe. By virtue of the location - and this building, "Bessarabian Market" - the style of the Kiev institutions provide very high ceilings, mirrors, small tables, standing close to each other, and huge windows. Certainly, in the «Jean-Claude Brasserie» excellently prepared and the price matches the quality, but on the other hand - if the brasserie restaurant as a kind of direction aims to teach the people of Kiev to the available French format, pricing is not very clear and not very acceptable to the majority. Incidentally, the service «Jean-Claude Brasserie» very good.

Restaurant «CHEZ RV» (28 Fuzkultury Srt.
Judging by the activity of French chefs, 2011 promises to be the year of French food in Kiev. Why? Because just recently in the capital has been presented one more French restaurant. «CHEZ RV» - establishment notorious and highly social and active media Hervé Bourdon, who became the proud owner of his own creation, based on first impressions - carries only positive emotions.)

The interior is ruled by air, space and milky colors of olive, orange dot diluted with warm. Everything else - tables, sofas, flowers in vases - just complete the harmony of the modern Mediterranean. Judging from the menu, Mr. Burdon proponent of minimalism and brevity. The list of dishes all laid out on shelves, with great taste and love to the cause of concern. Most of the establishment work with local food, much to be proud of. For the first dating order I recommend "Goat cheese souffle with a walnut flavor" (90 hrn) - very juicy and incredibly tasty, then pay attention to the "Duck consomme with mushroom quenelle" (60 hrn), I think you'll like. Pizza «Il Molino» (17 Moskovskaya Str.)
Despite the fact that we already wrote about this promising metropolitan institution in the previous review, as they say about good can and should mention more often. In «Il Molino» things are going well, I feel that the "watermill" as a talisman, actually works. Mill, flour bags in place, the Italian chef is busy, narrow menu and informative, the food is delicious and timely filed, the staff is still happy to see us.

As for the dishes presented in the menu, but today we want to begin with appetizers and salads.
