The meeting of the Kiev "Gourmet Club" (27.11)

Some comments regarding the menu that is going to be presented to us during the dinner at Kanapa:


  • Amuse bouche: Fish pate: served on a polished black rock. Very tasty but don't eat too much bread.
  • Salad with wood roasted duck breast: lovely fresh and crispy salad with slices of perfectly roasted duck.
  • Chestnut soup: lovely and creamy. You can almost taste the flower blossoms.
  • Sweetbreads: probably the best I've ever eaten.
  • Steak: so tender you could almost eat it with a spoon.
  • Big white dessert: a stalk of cheesecake topped with a jelly hat and surrounded with 'ground' with little 'grass shoots'. A piece of culinary art.
 
All served with a selection of excellent Ukrainian wines chosen by our sommelier Christina from Dolmart Ukraine.
 
A very special meal to end this season.
 
We still  have some tickets left (but not much already).
